Fun (and not so fun) Facts

Everywhere I go, I love to listen to other people's experiences through life and learn about how they became who they are and where their journey will take them next.

The following list is a compilation of experiences that have made me who I am today.

  • I was born in Ica, Peru.
  • I'm an only child.
  • The first time I saw a llama was during a company party in Cincinnati, Ohio.
  • I failed all my classes my first semester in college except for math (luckily didn't lose my scholarships).
  • I love math.
  • Life has always taught me to treat everyone with respect, but it has also taught me that the least fortunate deserve the most respect out of us.
  • I used to want to be a professional basketball player.
  • My family had to sell jewelry and properties so I can attend my sophomore year in college.
  • Some day I will celebrate my birthday with John Mayer (we have the same birthday).
  • My first job was at a Subway that had a frozen yogurt gig attached to it. There I learned to tip very well.
  • I paid for my tuition for the last 2 years of college with the help of amazing people and freelance work (lots of it).
  • When my dad passed away, I had to help dress his body for his funeral since one of the guys who was supposed to do it didn't show up.
  • When I was 19, I hopped into a bus with my guitar and sang songs so I can travel for free around Lima. I got paid 3 soles, which is equivalent to about 1 USD.
  • Some day I'm going to build a music school for kids with low income in Peru.
